Inspired by real island life in Eleuthera, each story celebrates the beauty, wildlife, and culture of the Bahamas while encouraging curiosity, kindness, and confidence in young readers. With gentle educational themes woven throughout, the books introduce children to island nature, community values, and real Bahamian environments.
The series is available in both paperback and e-book formats and forms the first part of a growing collection of heartwarming island tales, with each new book opening a little more of Copper’s colourful world.

The publisher has confirmed that a printing issue affecting the paperback edition has now been fully resolved. The book is being reissued to the correct production specification and will be back with retailers shortly.
The new paperback is in a slightly smaller format and is now printed on premium-quality paper. The retail price is £11.99, reflecting the standard production and retailer pricing for this corrected edition.
Stock is expected to return within approximately one week, with orders being fulfilled as soon as it becomes available.
If you placed an order that was not fulfilled, some retailers may ask you to place a new order at the updated price once the corrected edition is live.
The e-book edition remains unchanged and continues to be available as normal.
The second book in the series, is currently in progress and follows Copper as she takes her self-appointed job of guarding her Rainbow Bay neighbourhood very seriously. With her faithful friends by her side, Copper patrols the lane, checks in on familiar houses and keeps an eye out for any mischief. This new adventure continues to celebrate friendship, island life and the brave heart of one determined potcake.
